Ever since I was a wee toddler off five years old, makeup palettes have been my favorite.things.ever!
I was especially into the ones with all the things included, every eyeshadow color in imaginable, blushes, powders, lipsticks… everything. The kid in me is still the exact same, but the grown-up makeup lover is just a bit pickier when it comes to palettes.
Don’t get me wrong, I still love looking at them all, but these days I have to be a bit more practical. I don’t have funds to purchase everything, which means I need to be smart with my purchases to ensure I am getting the best possible products that I’ll enjoy for many seasons to come.
Without further ado, these are my recommendations for which makeup palettes you should pick up this 2017 fall! Let’s get started.
The BEST Autumnal Eyeshadows!
Too Faced Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eye Shadow Palette // I’ve talked about this one before, but I just can’t get enough. Too Faced’s whole Peach collection seems very gimmicky to me overall, and I’m not a fan, but this palette is in another league. With the exception of one color, all the shades range from satiny-matte to completely matte. It makes the perfect basics palette for the cozy fall season, without being too basic.

Sephora Collection Sephora PRO Warm Palette // This palette received pretty stellar reviews, and they are well deserved. The shades show up beautifully on your eyes, and Sephora definitely wasn’t stingy on the product volume. You get a lot of product! It’s one of those palettes that just looks so beautiful to me, I can’t help but pick it up and use it. Since I don’t exactly see falling fall leaves around here, this palette is the closest I can get!

Lorac Mega PRO Palette 4 // This year’s Lorac Mega PRO Palette is interesting… but I like it. The left half, to me, screams “Spring!” while the right half screams, “Fall!” You know what that means to me- versatility! Those gorgeous jewel tones and rusty red-browns look amazing for fall, and the pastels perfect for spring. It’s a palette that works now, and won’t look out of season later.

Dose of Colors Baked Browns Eyeshadow Palette // Is it or isn’t it emulating the Becca Ombre Rouge Eye Palette? I don’t know, but it is gorgeous in its own right. I love these small eyeshadow palettes featuring one color family. Everything matches, yet you can get a good range of light and natural looks, to dramatic and smoky looks. Whenever I travel with more makeup, this is the kind of thing I reach for!

Makeup Revolution No Photos Please Slogan Palette // Speaking of jewel tones, they’re one of my favorite ways to add something besides reds and oranges to my fall makeup looks. This palette gets them exactly right! The purple, blue, and green definitely stand out, yet they aren’t so out there that they look unwearable and tacky.

Perk Up Your Skin
Tarte Blush Bliss Blush Palette // Blush palettes are perfect for on-the-go ladies because they provide such great value for space. This one by Tarte is ultra slim, and features four rosy shades to give you those warm fall vibes. If you travel and don’t enjoy stuffing multiple compacts in your bag just to have a few options, you’ll love this. Not to mention, Tarte blushes are amazing quality, so you won’t be disappointed with color payoff.

E.l.f. Illuminating Palette // Just because it’s fall, it doesn’t mean I want all matte, all the time. When I already have a matte lipstick on, I like sprucing up my skin with a bit of extra all-over glow. This affordable E.l.f. palette offers several subtle highlighters, reminiscent of Hourglass’ famous Ambient Lighting Powders. Pop them on your cheekbones for a light highlight, and then brush the extra over the center of your face.

All-In-One For the ‘On The Go’ Boss Lady!
Smashbox Drawn In. Decked Out. Shadow + Contour + Blush Palette // My five year old self would have loved this! The set contains two blushes, two contour shades, a highlighter, and 15 eyeshadows in varying finishes. All the colors you need for a neutral or glam look on the go. I can see this being my go-to palette for my upcoming holiday travels.
