Heading back to the office vs. heading outside for summer adventures. Must we choose?!
This month, I wanted to create outfits that have all the summer vibes, but still work for a common reality right now. Unfortunately, many people are nearing the end of their stay-at-home / work-at-home journey and are gearing up to head back to the workplace. If that’s you right now, listen up.
Yay. Not. 😑
These outfits incorporate summer style trends and classic pieces for cute and one-trend office appropriate outfits. Some of them even contain options to dress a statement item up or down!
BRB, going to shop my closet to recreate these looks from clothing I already own.

Summery back-to-work outfits that will make you excited to head back into the office! Share on X
puff sleeve top + wide-leg trousers + statement cardigan + mule heels + printed tote
Wide leg trousers make for the perfect work pants. The loose fitting legs keep you cool and breezy, and not to mention they are flattering on pretty much every body type. Pair them with a puff sleeve blouse to balance your top and bottom while still nipping you in at the waist. Add a statement cardigan to make things extra interesting!
pastel jumpsuit + crisp blazer + pointy toe flats + leather backpack + rose colored sunglasses
A wide-leg jumpsuit is an awesome compromise between comfy casual and professional. The silhouette is flattering and it follows the monochrome trend perfectly. Pair with a streamline blazer in a neutral shade and you’re all set for the office. Throw on a backpack and sunnies for cool after-work vibes.
masculine plaid elastic waistband pants + feminine blouse + statement blazer + chunky heels + classic leather tote
This outfit is just one big contradiction but it works so well, I think! The masculine pants perfectly juxtapose the feminine top, and along with the tote bag, the three classics juxtapose the fun peacock colored blazer and funky shoes.
floral dress + biker jacket + platform sneakers + camera bag + round sunglasses
A floral dress is a summer outfit staple, and adding a biker jacket does adds a cool edge to the flirty look. I went with casual accessories for this look, but you can completely change the vibe of the outfit just by swapping the shoes and accessories.
wrap blouse + structured bag + heeled sandals + denim pencil skirt or distressed shorts
Take your pretty wrap blouse from day to night with two bottom options. Dress it up with a neat pencil skirt or loosen up with distressed shorts. I added a structured handbag and contrasting funky sandals to break up the otherwise subdued look.
cami dress + colorful pumps + matching structured bag + sleeveless blazer or denim jacket
Cami dresses are so comfortable, but no one will be able to tell just how comfy it really is. Especially in super forgiving black. Shh, it’s our secret! Add a pop of color with matching(ish) accessories. This is another look that can be dressed up with a poised sleeveless blazer or dressed down with a cool denim jacket.
“Back to Work” outfits. It’s like Back-to-School, but you know, for adults. After quarantine. Hey, we need the same kind of encouragement that kids do. Share on XThat’s all for now!
