Just in case you didn’t hear me any of the other 10,000 times I’ve shouted this from the rooftops- the Walmart beauty box is perfect for travelers.
If you’re looking for a true “beauty box” that gives you fun makeup samples each month, then this isn’t the subscription for you. There’s not a whole lot of makeup in there.
BUT, if you travel a lot and enjoy experimenting with new shampoos, conditioners, moisturizers, toothpastes, and more, then you’ll love this.
Or if you’re just a sample lover like me, then you can’t go wrong with spending $5 every 3 months for a pretty good selection of samples. Think about how much all of these travel sizes would cost if you purchased them from the travel section. A lot more than $5, I can tell you that.
Let’s get into what arrived in my Spring 2017 Walmart Beauty Box!
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine in Radiant Rose >>[Walmart]
I live for the makeup products, and so this is clearly the most exciting thing in the box in my opinion. Though color itself isn’t all that interesting, I’m still happy to have this.
Each Walmart beauty box typically comes with one full sized lip product.
Sinful Colors Nail Polish in Sweeten the Teal >> [Walmart]
A super glittery nail greenish-teal nail polish. I own a bunch of nail polishes from this brand, and I’ve enjoyed most of them, so I am happy to have this shade to add to my collection.
Soapbox Sea Minerals Body Wash w/ Shea Butter >> [Walmart]
Here’s where things start getting practical. We’ve got a 2 oz. bottle of body wash that’s perfect for tossing in your bag for a weekend getaway. This one is paraben & phthalate free, the scent is not too strong, and it isn’t dyed a crazy color.
Jergens Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer >> [Walmart]
This 2 oz. tube is the perfect amount of product to keep you lightly tanned and moisturized when you’re out enjoying the sun.
Who doesn’t like a little bit of tan when enjoying their summer vacation? (Well, me, but that’s another story.) For you tanning lovers, something similar to this is included in just about every Walmart beauty box.
Soo Ae Purifying Black Charcoal Mask >> [Walmart]
Vacations are the perfect time for pampering yourself with a mask, but who wants to carry a huge tube when you’ll probably only use it once?
Sheet masks solve that problem perfectly. And since I always seem to forget to buy them, receiving one in this box couldn’t have been more perfect.
John Freida Frizz Ease Daily Nourishment Conditioner >> [Walmart]
Frizzy hair drives crazy anytime, but especially when I’m traveling and taking pictures every 3 seconds. I always carry an extra moisturizing conditioner to keep my crispy hair satiated.
Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Ultra Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner >> [Walmart] [Walmart]
This brand appears in the Walmart beauty box quite often. After encountering it several times, I do like it, but not enough to purchase the full size.
But say it with me this time: “They’re perfect for travel!”
Colgate Optic White Radiant Toothpaste >> [Walmart]
I’m not especially picky about toothpaste. As long as my teeth are clean and my breath doesn’t stink, I’m okay with it. I haven’t tried this Colgate toothpaste, but you better believe I will be using it on my next adventure.
Ban Powder Fresh Roll-On Antiperspirant-Deodorant >> [Walmart]
This deodorant is the only non-travel friendly item in here. Yeah, you could travel with a liquid deodorant, but why would you want to when you can use a stick and not have to use precious space in your liquids bag? I will use this at home though, so it’s not a total bust.
Bonus coupons & samples
Each Walmart beauty box also comes with a few coupons and foil packet samples.
One I’m excited about is a sample of Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation in a color that actually looks like it will be perfect for me. And it comes with a coupon. Score!
I also received samples of Aveeno Positively Radiant 60 Second In Shower Facial and Aveeno Positively Radiant Overnight Hydrating Facial. Just the samples, no coupon. Oh well.
That’s all for today!
