Drugstore blushes are either really amazing, or depressingly mediocre. I’ve weeded through all the lackluster options and present to you only the best of the best!
I feel like it wasn’t all that long ago when drugstore blushes were basically all the same shade of chalky pink. Thankfully, those days are long gone.
Drugstore brands are filling stores with all kinds of blush shades and finishes. But that doesn’t mean they’re all winners.
This is a roundup of my favorite blushes at the drugstore. I love them all for one reason or another, so make sure you read through the entire post to find out which drugstore blush is best for you!
*UPDATED: New blushes have been released since this post was originally published. In order to keep this info current and super helpful, I have changed some of my top drugstore blush picks to keep up with the times. I plan on updating consistently as new products are released!

ANCHOR drugstore blushes
e.l.f. Putty Blush
I used to be terrified of cream blush because I assumed it would just melt off of my oily skin and take my foundation with it. Perhaps that is an issue with some cream blushes, but not this one. The cream-to-powder texture makes this blush easy to tap into place. And once it dries down, it doesn’t budge. | ⇢ READ REVIEWS

Essence Mosaic Blush
A highly pigmented blush for an amazingly affordable price. Oftentimes products at lower price points are either good quality or they are interesting in some way, but rarely both. The mosaic pattern gives you some flexibility with the shade and it makes the pan pretty to look at. I would say this blush actually does have it all. | ⇢ READ REVIEWS

Almay Healthy Hue Blush
The shade Nearly Nude is one of my favorites for “no makeup makeup” days. Nude blushes often don’t enticing in the pan, but they just give such a natural flush to your cheeks that doesn’t look like “makeup” if you know what I mean. Almay products are hypoallergenic and free from phthalates, parabens, mineral oil and more yucky things that can irritate sensitive skin. | ⇢ READ REVIEWS

L.A. Girl Just Blushing Powder
Another affordable blush with excellent color payoff. It comes in a variety of shades in different undertones, so you will definitely find something that suits you. Reviewers are pleasantly surprised with the pigmentation and blendability. | ⇢ READ REVIEWS

NYX Sweet Cheeks Creamy Powder Matte Blush
NYX is known for their super pigmented blushes, so much that I actually avoided them for a long time. If blush is your “thing”, then these next two drugstore blushes will be high on your makeup shopping list. This line of matte blushes is colorful, creamy and highly pigmented. | ⇢ READ REVIEWS

NYX Sweet Cheeks Creamy Powder Glow Blush
Where you have mattes, you must also have shimmers! The Glow line is the Matte line’s radiant counterpart. The shade selection is meant to be nearly identical, with the main difference being the texture of the formula. | ⇢ READ REVIEWS

ColourPop Blush Stix
I have been thinking about travel a lot recently, and I’m imagining this product will be perfect for my on-the-go makeup kit. When using stick cream blushes, I recommend rubbing the stick on your fingertip to warm up the product, and then tapping product from your fingertip onto your face. | ⇢ READ REVIEWS

L’Oreal Age Perfect Radiant Satin Blush
Reviewers rave about how the formula is silky smooth and pigmented but not powdery or dusty. The slight shimmer offers the perfect amount of glow without leaving obvious sparkles behind. | ⇢ READ REVIEWS

e.l.f. Cream Blush Palette
e.l.f. Cosmetics face palette quads are my go-to face palettes for travel! The creams are great quality, and the individual pans pop out so that you can mix and match shades from multiple palettes. Watch out though, the palettes are very pigmented so use them sparingly and blend over the area with a sponge to diffuse the color. | ⇢ READ REVIEWS

NYX Sweet Cheeks Soft Cheek Tint
Imagine this: you’re craving that gorgeous dewy and creamy blush look that’s so popular right now, but just the thought of applying cream blush is making your powder cake up. This is what you need! The fluffy, mousse texture is a great gateway between a cream and a powder and it is super easy to blend. | ⇢ READ REVIEWS

HONORABLE MENTION: Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso
One of my classic favorites. The shade Luminoso is still in my rotation, and I wear it whenever I just want to get back to basics. The formula features one of the most finely-milled shimmers I’ve seen in a blush, and it shows up so subtly on your face that you could probably lie, saying you are, “just glowing,” and nobody would question you. It’s that good. | ⇢ READ REVIEWS
