summer outfits July, how to style face masks
Summer outfits for July 2020! Things are looking a little different these days.
There’s a new accessory on the block that we aren’t very familiar with, but that we are still required to wear in many places. Yup, the face mask. When this all started, I assumed that we’d all be donning disposable surgical masks for a few weeks and then be back to wearing lipstick by summer. Clearly, that has not been the case. Face masks are part of a long term public health strategy, and that means they will be a part of our daily wardrobes for as long as it takes. It was then that realized that paper surgical masks just wouldn’t do.
I purchased probably too many cloth masks from Old Navy; 25 to be exact. And I’ll likely continue collecting more. I really wanted the mask to become a part of my overall look, rather than an imposition.
I’ve created six outfits where the mask adds an interesting texture or pop of color to the finished look. Instead of weighing an outfit down like a surgical mask does, these masks uplift and match the vibe of each look.
Still on the fence about the Old Navy masks? I’ve written up a detailed review so you can get to know them better. Click here to read the review!
