fall outfits September
fall outfits September
It’s officially my least favorite time of year. Time for the torturous wait for summer to be over and for fall to finally take over.
I’m short for words today, so here we go– outfits styled from classic wardrobe essentials plus a few statement pieces thrown in to shake things up! Complete looks that are a perfect mix of timeless & on-trend made possible with pieces that you will love for years to come.
THIS is how you can feel all the cozy Pumpkin Spice vibes without melting in the summer sun! Share on XEditor’s note: Some images and links point toward products similar in style to the image displayed. These links may be updated as the exact items shown go out of stock or are no longer available.
midi skirt + crop top + sleeveless sweater + ankle boots + tote
A flowy midi skirt in an animal print gives the visual coverage of a “fall” look but still feels nice and breezy. Pair it with a sleeveless sweater layered over a crop top or bralette for an outfit that is just cozy enough. Do a little front tuck with the sweater, or tie the bottom with a hair tie and flip the tail inside for a quick cropped look.
cardigan + ribbed tank + faded shorts + printed sandals + mini backpack
There’s nothing more “fall” than a fluffy sweater. To make it more transition weather friendly, go for a cardigan that you can unbutton when it gets warm, and pair it with the classic summery combo, a tank top and shorts. Printed sandals help to break up the color block-y look.
preppy dress + long cardigan + biker boots + small handbag + long socks
The preppy floral dress and edgy biker boots are a classic juxtaposition for fall. Add a long cardigan that’s a similar length to the dress for a contemporary look.
“leather” pants + crop top + platform sandals + gold bracelet + black handbag
Try snakeskin print as a new take on classic leather pants this fall! To keep cool, pair with a lightweight crop top.
leggings + short sleeve button-up + slide sandals + mini backpack + funky earrings
Leggings are awesome because they give you cozy looking coverage, but aren’t nearly as heavy and warm as actual pants! I paired my leggings here with a short sleeve button-up for a cool 90’s aesthetic.
brown leather skirt + jewel colored blouse + belt bag + edgy ring + “Birkenstocks”
Okay, so while I believe the blouse and skirt are both classic styles, together the outfit looked a bit too “2010” for my taste. What did I do? I added ultra on-trend accessories to make the outfit look more intentionally retro rather than just outdated. Works like a charm, every time.
